Analytics

Analytics is software in development. The aim of the work is to match inquiries in Instagram and Facebook Messenger messages with the Meta ads they came from.

Analytics is not offered to customers. It is an internal prototype in technical testing: it cannot be bought, there is no sign-up, and customers have no access to reports.

It receives events from Meta through an app called Dashboard-bot on the Meta for Developers platform.

What is being tested in the prototype

Receiving Instagram and Messenger webhooks and verifying their signatures. Individual test messages have been verified on real events.
A participant filter: events are stored only for people who joined the test with a one-time code. Events from other senders are not stored.
Reading an ad referral from an event. This has not yet been verified on a real ad.
An internal report, not verified on real advertising data.

What Analytics does not have

Facebook or Instagram login, or connection of businesses.
Sending messages to people on behalf of a business.
Sending conversions to Meta: the Conversions API runs in dry-run mode only, with nothing sent.
Marketing API requests.
A connected WhatsApp channel.

Status with Meta

The Dashboard-bot app is in development mode. Business Verification and App Review are not complete. Meta has not approved this app.
